but my leveling build has maxed2009-04-28 00:00:00I'm still leveling Holy, but my leveling build has maxed out Spirit Tap. I also put 17 points in Di and gave up some healing talents in favor of the traditional lolsmite talents. I never run out of mana or need to drink while questing. I alsoan't be killed unless I do something really, really stupid. I did resp Shadow for aouple of days just for fun, and although it was more effient, it wasn't so mh so that I felt it was the only option anymore. It was a lot of fun, as Shadow generally is. But sie I like to fus on healing and feelomfortable with the Holy playstyle, I just went bk to that. And yes, my Holyhealing gear was fine with the Shadow sp. No...

Thoughts on a good class to complement a hunter2009-04-07 00:00:00Hey folks,
I'm going to be starting a toon to play with a buddy whose main char is an NE hunter. What is a good class to complement her hunter?I think a Draenei (sp?) Shaman would be a good class to help a hunter. Not only can the Shaman heal but it has enough abilities to defend itself as well as its companion. The Shamans various totems are useful in group. Plus Hunters and Shamans can both wear mail for decent protection.That all good and everything but what happens when they are instancing? Aside from a few stats, they basically wear the same gear. Good point above..perhaps a druid would be a better pairing. Come to think of it, hunters are so versatile that most classes compliment them in some way...I levelled mine up with my warrior friend...it was like having 2 pets;PI would say if you guys are going to be leveling together almost any healing class would be nice but idk what class you already have so ill say make a priest and go holy toheal your friend and you can still do some dps.That all good and everything but what happens when they are instancing? Aside from a few stats, they basically wear the same gear.

Cat vs Wolf2009-04-07 00:00:00I am a 39 Bm hunter. Soon to lvl and get mail! But really, ive been reading about hunters on here a lot. And most ppl say if u want a dps pet go for the wolf and im going what about cats? They prowl which if ur hiding use feign death put pet on prowl and there u have it on one will attack u or ur pet!!! So im wondering y arnt cats as popular as wolfs, if they can do some cool stuff too?
im lvl 79 BM hunter on doomhammer realm and i say cat they do awsome outright damage but the wolf is good for raids so it depends on which you want soloing or raids/ i also like scorpidsI would take a cat instead. Much more DPS and can hold onto aggro. While the wolf has it's abilities, a cat can growl, takin the aggro if it ever got to you. Also a cat had claw which does massive. The best/your favorite pet for each pet talent tree?2009-04-07 00:00:00I wanna see what your favorite pets are, and how you've lined up their talent trees. I have 3 sample trees here.
appreciate some evaluation on them. I was thinking cat/devilsaur for ferocity, ravager/silithid for cunning, and I wasn't really sure about tenacity. Any comment is welcome.To me all depends on what tree ya go with and what the pet will be used for. Being a MM from 12-60 I used mostly a boar till around 30 when I got my first cat. But now that I've played around with the BM spec a bit. If I was gonna say a pet to go with here is what I used of each pet tree.
Based on if you go with BM spec only. I'm still not sure what to use for other hunter specs:
Ferocity = Devilsaur
Cunning = Silithid
Tenacity = Rhino
I know a lot of people are gonna come back and call me a huntard for saying rhino. Cause its like every hunter out there thinks you need a gorilla just to play a hunter. NOt true. I played one from 10-72 only trying to use a gorilla once to just purely hate them. Where did you find a gorilla at level 10???sigh. I didn't. I tried it later on. best pet for PVP....2009-04-07 00:00:00hi i got a troll hunter named Jamba... took the name from the tv commercials. and im wandring what pet is best for pvp.. im gonna be BM hunter and get the skill exotic pet. and wich pet is best for pvp? if you have more options just say it for pet.Worm specially against plate wearers. Research worms as to why...at the lower levels i would say the spider because it can trap flag carriers and u could bomb him with arrows and cocussion shot to slow him down after he gets out of the web
